ReplyDeleteFirst I have to say that I'm not a good reader, but I'm working on it!! The best book that I have read so far is The Alchemist,by the brazilian author Paulo Coelho.I think it is a great book, because it's fun and simple.It has great morals and topics that make you think about your life.

I chose one of favorite books which were written by my favorite Japanese author. Title is “shimei to tamashii no limit (the limit of mission and soul)”. This story is mystery but it is not just mystery. This story consists of complicated doubt and one trouble. It is difficult for me to explain, but I’ll try!
ReplyDeleteA trainee surgeon, Yuki, studies in one hospital. She decided to become a heart surgeon when her father died during operation on heart. She had a doubt about that operation. Her trainer, Nishizono, was a surgeon who operated her father.
One day, someone send a threatening letter to the hospital. It is begin of panic in hospital, but doctors didn’t have time to be panic. There were patients who need operation, so doctors had to operate them. During fear of threatening letter, one big operation operated by doctors. It was important operation for a blackmailer and also important for Yuki, because it was a operation on heart by Nishizono. Continue…

ReplyDeleteI read "Homeless junior high school student" when I was high school student. This book is really famous book when I was in Japan, and also now too. This book was really interesting and touching!
The story is that a usual boy suddenly lost his house. His mother is already past away, and his father is already lost his job because of his sick. His father suddenly said "Break up!" to him, his brother and sister then he start to live in park by himself, but many kind people helped him. 10 years later, he is really famous comedian in Japan, and got a lot of money.
I learned many human kinds from this book when I read this book. Also writer wrote about his memories with his mother, and he is really thankful to his mother. That was really touching.
So I think his book is the best book for me.

ReplyDeleteI'm not big reader at all when I was in Japan, so I tried to think some good books that I've read before, But I couldn't find anything and that's bad I thought. I guess I should become a BIG reader this summer!!! I want to!! Read books in English is going to be so hard for me, because I didn't read many books even in Japanese. But I will try to read many books which were written in English and I hope I can find some books that I like!!!
Although I hardly read the book, there is only English book that I read before. It is "My sister's keeper". This book was made into a movie as you know. I will talk about its story a little. One day, one parents were informed that their young daughter ,Kate, has leukemia and also there are only a few years to live. In order to save her, they had a new baby,Anna,to use her as a donor for Kate. Anna has been used for a donor of her sister.Therefore her blood, bone marrow were taken to Kate. However, one day she refused to be a donor of Kate anymore and she decided to sue her parents...... What I talked about is just beggining of this book. I think it is a great book that shows the struggle and sacrifice that many family come across during fighting not only leukemia but all diseases. Also Montana was appeared in the movie of this book. Actually,that was my first time to see Montata. "My sister's keeper" is the best book I've ever read.

ReplyDeleteI'm not really big reader. When I was also in Japan, I did not read a book. I hate reading, but Japanese book "Initiation Love" was different to another book. It was so fun for me, so I could read a book!
The story was kind of love story, but it was mistery. I meand it was difficult story!! The main charecter Mayu was very bitch. She had two boyfriends, but I did not notice that she had two different boyfriends when I was reading it, because there were sideA story and sideB story, so readers could not notice mayu had two different boyfriends at one time. I could notice that when I read last sentence. When I finished reading I could understand the book's mean.
I could not explain very well, but When I read it I thought woman was scary...lol
I think the book is the best for me.

ReplyDeleteIt`s difficult question because I have many favorite books.I`ll introduce a book that I read before I came here.
One of my favorite book is `Ningen Shikaku(No Longer Human )` This novel is very old and written by famous author Oshamu Dazai. This story is very dark and not funny. However the author` observation to people is very deep. The book expressed human weakness. According a site people who commited suicide have the book high rate.
At first I wasn`t willingly to read the book, but gradually I can`t help reading. I could sympasize main character`masotistic mind and I thought everyone has weak points.
Recent young people tend to dislike such a dark and sad story though,I recommended you this book. Sometimes you need to think about your weakness.

ReplyDeleteI graduate from a government high school, where teacher encourage us to reads books and apply the good findings in our everyday life, because of that in my high school years, I was a huge fan of books. I read all kind of books, from science fiction to mechanics, from adventure to drama and some of them were really interesting but my favorite of all times is alam-al-dur. This book is about life of human race before the creation of earth, how we transfer from that place to earth and what will happen to use after death.
