Hi!

I hope you're all enjoying your personal reading book. This week, I'd like you to discuss a topic that may be a little more challenging than previous questions.

Here goes:

Is there a character in your story that you can relate to personally? If so, in what ways do you relate to this person? If not, do any of the characters in the story remind you of people in your own life? How is this character similar to someone you know?

First, which book did you choose? Who is the author of this book? When was it FIRST published? What can you tell us about the book based on the cover, the summary on the back of the book, and/or what you've read so far? Finally, why did you choose this book?

Hi! Welcome to the Reading and Vocabulary Summer 2010 blog. This summer, we will discuss our personal reading books on this forum. You will have the chance to write about the books you're reading in addition to reading your classmates thoughts and opinions on the books they are reading.

In order to verify that you have made it this far, please answer the following question: What's the best book you've ever read? Why do you think this is such a great book?
